There is no single path into restoration or construction. At GKW Restoration, our team is made up of people with diverse backgrounds who share a respect for the work and a commitment to doing it right. These are just a few of the stories that shape who we are.
Laborers support masonry and waterproofing crews with material handling, jobsite preparation, and general construction tasks. This role is ideal for individuals looking to gain experience in commercial construction and restoration. Responsibilities may include staging materials, assisting skilled trades, maintaining jobsite safety, and supporting daily workflow. Prior construction experience is helpful but not required. A strong work ethic and willingness to learn are essential.
Masons at GKW Restoration perform skilled masonry work on commercial restoration and construction projects. This includes brick, block, stone, and architectural masonry systems within complex building envelopes. This role requires experience with proper installation techniques, attention to detail, and an understanding of how masonry systems perform over time. Masons work closely with foremen, engineers, and other trades to ensure work meets specifications and long term performance expectations.
Waterproofers install and maintain systems designed to protect buildings from moisture intrusion. This includes below grade waterproofing, fluid applied air barriers, sealant systems, and drainage components. This position requires precision, surface preparation knowledge, and the ability to follow detailed installation procedures. Experience with commercial waterproofing systems is preferred, along with a strong understanding of building envelope performance.
