Project Overview
RIVERSIDE, MISSOURI – PARK HILL SOUTH HIGH SCHOOL
MODERN BUILDING RESTORATION AND ENVELOPE PERFORMANCE UPGRADES
Park Hill South High School is an active educational facility that required building envelope improvements to support long-term performance, durability, and occupant comfort. GKW Restoration was engaged to address critical exterior systems as part of a larger renovation effort led by the project team.
GKW’s scope of work focused on below-grade waterproofing, air barrier installation, caulking, and expansion joint systems. These components play a vital role in controlling moisture, air infiltration, and building movement—factors that directly impact interior conditions and the longevity of the structure.
Modern building restoration demands solutions that integrate seamlessly with existing construction while meeting current performance standards. Each system was installed with careful attention to continuity, compatibility, and detailing to ensure the building envelope performs as a unified assembly.
The work was completed with the school’s operational schedule in mind, supporting the project goal of delivering a durable, weather-resilient facility ready to serve students and staff for the coming school year and beyond.
